How it comes together

The cleaning of the ductwork is carried out in sections with typically, 10 to 15 metres of ductwork cleaned in one sweep.

The cleaning process commences with the covering of registers and the extraction hose is attached to the ductwork.

The "AirBall" is fed into the ductwork and is allowed to travel to the end of the duct. The high airflow from the extraction unit, plus the airflow from the

"AirBall" moves all the dislodged material back down the duct towards the connection and into the extraction unit.

Once the main trunk of the ductwork is cleaned the extraction hose is spigoted onto a branch duct. The "AirBall" is sent down the branch to the main trunk and is pulled back as shown in figure six.

The process is basically the same whether the ductwork is of sheet metal construction, square or round or is flexible. The design of the "AirBall" is such that it does not damage internal insulation, but is still able to clean ductwork containing it.
