Traditional Methods Air Systems, Duct Cleaning Specialists. Brisbane, Australia

Traditional Methods

This system requires little explanation. The duct cleaners physically remove the foreign material from the duct using brushes, brooms and vacuum cleaners, typically hand held.

This is an effective method of duct cleaning one we often utilise either in conjuction with our patented AirBall system or as a stand alone method of cleaning ductwork.

We also utilise the cleaning and sanitizing power of AerisGuard products to further enhance your systems cleanliness.

The effectiveness of the system relies on access. The further away from the access point, the harder it becomes for the cleaner to work satisfactorily, therefore many access points may need to be cut into the duct. The Department of Public Works in NSW recommend access points are no further than four metres apart for the purpose of effective cleaning.

Traditional duct cleaning has its uses. In very large ductwork, where access is not a problem.

We point out also, that the duct needs to be horizontal, large and able to support the weight of the worker and the equipment.

The traditional method, has the following disadvantages.

Effectiveness

In theory, you can eventually clean all the ductwork, but in practice this is not always possible. Some duct is just to small, this is where we utilise our patented AirBall system.

Besides all the other problems of access, risers can present special problems to the traditional cleaner.

To clean a riser generally requires a person to be lowered in a boat-swains' chair requiring safety harnessnes and recovery equipment being lowered into the riser, this proves to be very dangerous, labour intensive and costly activity. Risers are not always perfectly vertical or big enough to allow human access.

Our patented Air Ball system does eliminate the risks associated with traditional methods of cleaning.
